Etterlysninger - Missing Persons

Johan Henrik Kristiansen Kvien - AKA John Henry Kein - Born Aug 21, 1893

Johan emigratet to Canada from Bergen, Norway in 1911. At first he lived in the Dacotah area outside Winnipeg, Manitoba, where some earlier immigrants from his home were settled. In 1916 he was a Section Foreman and living in Winnipeg. He entered the Canadian Overseas (page 1) Expeditionary Forces February 21, 1916 (page 2) and was discharged after 11 months military service. Regtl. No.: 913019, Military Service Act letter and no 311833JR in 1918 tells that he now is a Street Car Conductor in Winnipeg. He signs his name J. H. Kein, 661 Main Street, Winnipeg, Canada. It is interesting that "Place of Birth" now is listed to be Dryden, Ontario, Canada, and that he had become a Methodist when enrolling. A mystery person occurs as his closest relative: Albert Edward Brown.

He is listed in Henderson's Winnipeg City Directory in 1918, 1920, 1921 and 1922:
Kein J H conductor Street Railway - resides 148 Goulet, St. Bonicace, Manitoba, Canada. (In Norwood, a suburb of St. Boniface, a French-Canadian city which is now part of Winnipeg).

He seems to have entered the US in 1922 crossing the border at Buffalo. He may be the one who married a Mary Coen in Philadelphia about 1940. Begge gravlagt der.

Johan was fathers eldest brother, and any information about his destiny is of interest.

Johan Henrik Kvien - i Canada John Henry Kein, født 21. august 1893.

Regtl. No.: 913019, Military Service Act letter and no 311833JR i 1918 viser at han nå er trikkekonduktør.

Both buried there.

Andreas Martin Reielson Isene, born January 23, 1875, Davik Parish , Nordfjord; Norway. Andreas emigrated to USA May, 11, 1892 from Bergen. When his mother died 1918, the local authorities wrote in the documents that the son "was missing in USA, and not been heard from the past 13 years". Many people from the Isane farms, and the neighbouring Dombesten farms in Norway settled in the area of Ortonville, and he may have stayed there, at least for some time. Any information of this relative of mine well be of interest.

Andreas Falkevik

Andreas Johan Martinson Falkevik, born Nov 16,1883, Davik Parish, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. He emigrated from Ålesund Harbour March 18, 1908 with the Cunard Line to USA. He is listed as a sailor wishing to sign on a job at sea. The rumours say he had been married, and had at least three children, possibly two daughters and one son, and that he maybe was living in New York or another of the great cities of the East Coast at a time.

Children of Andrew MARTINSEN (Andreas Falkevik) and Malene (Ervik) in the USA:

Ingebrigt Jensson Endal, born Feb 6, 1857, in Davik Parish, Sogn og Fjordane County, Norway. I am searching information about his destiny .

He was born Feb 5, 1857 in Davik Parish, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway.

Sep 20, 1878 he moved to Langenes/Øksnes in Nordland where he appeared at the farm Stø. He is listed as a fisherman.

In 1881 he made the 9 years older widow, Maren Anna Olsdtr. pregnant. May 6this year, he emigrated from Trondheim with SS Argo to Hull. Destination was Menomonie, Wisc, USA. Maren Annas' baby, a girl, was born in Sep 1881, and has descendents in Norway. They have tried to find Ingebrigt, but so far in vain.

His ticket was with American Line, paid in USA. These are the known facts.

As his ticket was with American Line, he probably went from Liverpool to Philadelphia with one of the ships of American line. He may be using Ingebrigt Jensen or some American version of his name

There is another guy named Ingebrigt Endal found in the 1900 and 1920 Censuses in the US, but he ten years to old and emigrated about ten years earlier.

Please mail me.
